Braised red cabbage with apples
Prepare ingredients.
Cut 1 red cabbage in half.
Cut the red cabbage into fine strips (as shown in the picture).
Chop 2 red onions finely.
Melt 1 tablespoon of butter in a wok.
Put the chopped onion into the melting butter.
Fry red onion until it starts to get fragrant.
Add red cabbage strips.
Sauté until slightly soft.
Add 1/2 teaspoon of salt.
Add 1 teaspoon of sugar.
Mix in gently.
Add 250-300 milliliters of red wine and bring to boil.
Peel 1-2 apples.
Grate the apple and add to the cabbage immediately.
Add 2-3 dried cranberries.
Add 3-5 tablespoons of balsamic vinegar and continue cooking about 15-20 minutes until they are tender.
Serve as a side dish.


Braised red cabbage with apples is often eaten with meat dishes such as roasts (for instance: roast goose stuffed with chestnut and bread roll), meat dumplings, etc.

3 tablespoons balsamic vinegar (3-5 tablespoons)
