Roti Bakso
Prepare the ingredients.
Melt 50 grams of butter.
Add 400-500 grams of flour to a bowl.
Add 50 grams of sugar.
Add 1 tablespoon of dry yeast.
Add 1 teaspoon of salt.
Mix it.
Add 1 egg.
Mix it gently.
Add 200-250 milliliters of cold water step by step.
... and stir it simultaneously.
Prepare hooks for kneading doughs.
Knead dough.
Add melted butter to the dough.
Continue to knead.
Knead until a smooth dough has formed.
Leave the dough to rest.
Peel 2-3 carrots.
Cut carrots in small pieces.
Chop 1 onion or red onion in small pieces.
Chop 2-3 garlic cloves small pieces.
Heat 2 tablespoons cooking oil.
Put chopped onion and garlic into the hot oil.
Fry the spices until they start to get fragrant.
Add 250-300 grams of minced beef.
Cook ground beef until it changes color from red to pink to brown.
Add chopped carrots.
Mix it briefly.
Add 1 tablespoon of oyster sauce.
Add 1-2 tablespoons of sweet soy sauce.
Add 1 teaspoon salt.
Continue cooking until everything is done.
Reveal the dough.
Knead the dough again.
Prepare baking tray and baking paper.
Prepare surface for kneading.
Smear dry palm with flour.
Take a piece of dough.
Form the dough into ball.
Make it flat.
Fill it with meat-filling.
Close and shape again in a ball.
Repeat the steps 39-43 until dough is filled.
Dip baking brush in milk.
Wet upper part of the dough balls with milk.
Then sprinkle the sesame seeds on top of them sufficiently.
Preheat the oven to 180° C.
Push baking tray into the hot oven.
Bake until the top of the bread is brown enough.
Remove bread from the oven and let cool down.


Roti Bakso is minced beef stuffed bread. It’s also very popular in Indonesia and you can easily find this kind of bread in many bakeries.
